Piper Turbo Aztec PA 23-250

Piper introduced the Aztec, with more powerful, 250 hp. Lycoming. It was 250 hp Aztec that would become the most popular of the lot and, as far as twin engine planes go, a good STOL and bush plane. Many Aztecs were turbocharged for even increased performance, particularly at altitude as the turbocharging system was a “normalization” system as opposed to a “boosting” system. This meant the turbochargers could be used to bring the engines up to 250 hp, regardless of altitude (up to a point), instead of boosting the engines above their original 250 hp rating.

The Piper Warrior was specifically designed as a flight trainer. As such, the Warrior is best at demonstrating aircraft flight characteristics to a new student.

From the beginning, the Warrior exposes the student to aircraft management techniques and requirements normally found only in more advanced aircraft, including, fuel management and the use of fuel pumps, making transition to more advanced aircraft both safer and easier.

Being a low wing aircraft, the Warrior offers unobstructed view of the flight path, very specially in turns, excellent safer ground handling.
